I haven’t had the chance to see The Greatest Showman yet but I have had a chance to listen to the soundtrack…extensively lol.  While there are many amazing songs on there, one sticks out and really gives you all the feels: This Is Me.  Written as an anthem for outcasts, everyone can take a little something from the words of this song.  Sung by The Bearded Lady played by Keala Settle, it’s a song about hope and living your truth, whatever that may be.

“It has a message that should resonate with today’s world concerning acceptance and courage” – HuffPost

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul truly deliver with their original songs for the film inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum and the birth of show business and it’s worth every listen.  Plus, how do you go wrong with Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Michelle Williams together in a film.  What are you still doing here, go watch the video and get out and see the movie!

Bonus: The amazing talents of Cynthia Erivo and Jeremy Jordan joined in during the workshop session to help get the movie made.

I am consummate workaholic in need of a hobby (hence this site). I am recently married to an amazing man named Andrew who you will see pop up throughout the site and we live in a beautiful townhome that we purchased a couple of years ago in the Baldwin Park area of Orlando, right near downtown which is where we spend most of our time. I have an awesome family and many equally awesome friends who you will also see pop up periodically. I attended UCF where I studied Advertising and Public Relations. On the daily, I am a Territory Director for a Tallahassee and Atlanta based digital media solutions company that specializes in graduation and endurance sports photography. If you have graduated from high school or college in the U.S. or run a major marathon throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico and the U.S., chances are we’ve taken your photos. My job allows me the luxury, and sometimes burden, of traveling all over. The downfall to that is “all over” sometimes includes random places in the square states in the middle of the U.S. When I am not on the road for work, I work from home and need noise in the background so I also watch A LOT of TV. There isn’t much on Bravo that doesn’t cross my screen so I am here to admit that I am, in fact, a Real Housewives fanatic…there isn’t a city I don’t watch (except the brief Athens one and Bangkok because they’re not subtitled in English but if they were, watch out). I love pop culture, reality television and all the mainstream shows as well.

  1. Wow. Very powerful! I have not seen the movie nor heard the music but now I’m on a mission to see it. I wanted to get up and dance, raise my hands and cry a little at the same time. Also, thank you for this site and sorry it has taken me so long to explore it. So very proud of you for this project.
